Summary
The Developmental Screening Coordinator provides and coordinates the Developmental Screening Program as part of the Help Me Grow system of supports available to families across Ohio. They provide direct services and supervise staff that process referrals for the program, conduct screening follow-up calls, connect families to services and resources needed, and enter data into applicable data systems. Creates program partner accounts for providers in the Sparkler application and assists with troubleshooting user issues and questions within the Sparkler Play for Parenting app and dashboard. Pulls data for assisting with generating reports and conducts quality assurance activities.
Experience Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities) required include:
1. Minimum of three years of experience working with families and young children.
2. Prior experience administering Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ), including interpreting results and determining next steps based on results.
3. Minimum of one year supervisory experience required, two or more years preferred.
4. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., word processing, electronic spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software), email applications, and internet usage.
5. Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills. Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-focused.
6. Ability to adhere to standards of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
8. Team building skills; organizational and staff development skills.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to express self effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
10. Ability to resolve moderately complex problems.
11. Ability to work independently with general direction.
Education/License Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Health and Human Services, Social Services, or
a related field.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License and appropriate insurance coverage.
