Director of Human Resources

Internationally Focused Nonprofit

Remote, Part-Time 10-20 hours per week

$50 - $75 per hour

Terrific part-time and remote Director of Human Resources role with an internationally focused nonprofit.

The Director of Human Resources will be a hands on subject matter expert for the small geographically dispersed organization. They will work to ensure HR functions run smoothly and employee matters are addressed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Represent the organization as the point of contact for HR related questions related to policies, benefits, leave, performance, and other concerns

Manage the onboarding and offboarding for employees

Ensure the continuous improvement of HR documents including the employee handbook, policies, and other procedural documents

Coordinate and manage benefits and payroll information

Partner with hiring manager on open roles and plan recruiting activity

Advise leadership on employee relations, performance, and other personnel matters

Qualifications:

7+ years of relevant human resources experience

Experience as the sole or senior most HR at a nonprofit organization is a plus

Ability to work in a remote environment with team members across time zones

Relevant HR certification is preferred

Understanding of federal and multi-state employment requirements

Excellent communication skills and strong judgement
