Remote Accounting Specialist (Division 8 - Doors, Frames, & Hardware)

Solid Rock Recruiting is parterning with a well-established, growing commercial door supplier that is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join its accounting team. This full-time, remote position will support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions while working directly with the Office Manager.

The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience within the construction industry, strong organizational skills, and experience using Comsense software. This individual must be capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner


• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions


• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain financial records


• Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities


• Track invoices, payments, and outstanding balances


• Support job costing and financial reporting efforts


• Maintain organized accounting documentation and records


• Collaborate with project teams and management to ensure financial accuracy


• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and other administrative functions as needed


• Utilize Comsense software for accounting and operational processes

Qualifications

• Previous accounting or financial experience within the construction industry required


• Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping


• Proficiency with Comsense software required


• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and job costing


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Ability to work independently in a remote environment


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in commercial construction accounting


• Familiarity with construction project financials and reporting


• Experience supporting multiple departments within a construction organization


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
