Electrical Engineer - Power Transmission

An international design and manufacturing company that makes high voltage transmission equipment needs to find an Electrical Engineer or Structural Engineer to work on products for the electrical transmission industry.

This is a fully remote position. You can live anywhere in the United States. You must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. The company provides excellent benefits, including a 10-20% bonus, health benefits, and a 6% 401K match.

I have similar openings for people with Electrical Engineering or Structural/Civil Engineering degree and background in Power Line Transmission projects.

• Working in collaborative teams, engage in research and development concerning electrical insulation for power transmission lines and structures.
• Should be knowledgeable of market practices in the design, construction, and commissioning of power transmission and distribution projects.
• Study power transmission solutions, capture business opportunities in grid projects.
• Evaluate projects for best practices, government compliance, and market standards.
• Work closely with marketing, management, and operations.
• Deal with suppliers, customers, finance, and sales.

REQUIREMENTS

• Should have in-depth knowledge of electrical power transmission line projects up to 500 kV, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least three years’ experience with power line CAD systems (PLS-CADD), and with PLS POLE transmission line engineering.
• Proficiency in engineering transmission lines with line posts, braced line posts, and insulated cross-arms.
• Demonstrated experience in developing innovative solutions for compact transmission lines.
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

This job requires the experience as noted in power transmission projects. You must have a minimum of a BSEE degree. I have a similar opening for someone with a Structural/Civil Engineering degree and background in Power Line Transmission projects.
