In this role, you will lead a newly formed Developer Experience (DevEx) Team, focusing on redefining the software development process. Accountabilities
- Define the long-term strategy for the DevEx team in alignment with broader engineering goals.
- Direct the creation of standardized IDE configurations and plugins for a seamless developer experience.
- Identify opportunities to enhance developer productivity through measurable metrics.
- Lead the consolidation of AI tools and oversee the implementation of a unified AI strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership to manage library versions, balancing efficiency and security.
- Establish engineering standards and governance models across product teams.
- Oversee the design of CI/CD workflows and manage transitions to modern build tools.
Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams focused on tooling or developer productivity.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in TypeScript/Node.js ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD platforms, and the current landscape of AI-assisted engineering.
- Ability to translate developer pain points into a strategic technical roadmap.
- A passion for creating internal products that prioritize developer satisfaction.
