1. Battery Performance Optimization

   • Monitor and improve battery usage, charging strategies, and thermal management.
   • Develop algorithms for SoC (State of Charge) and SoH (State of Health) estimation.

2. Energy Management Systems

   • Design systems that optimize energy flow between battery, motor, and auxiliary systems.
   • Implement regenerative braking and eco-driving strategies.

3. Powertrain Efficiency

   • Analyze and enhance electric motor performance.
   • Work on inverter and converter efficiency.

4. Simulation & Testing

   • Use tools like MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, or AVL Cruise for modeling and simulation.
   • Conduct real-world testing to validate energy models.

1. Bachelor’s Degree (minimum):

   • Electrical Engineering
   • Mechanical Engineering
   • Automotive Engineering
   • Computer Science or Mechatronics (especially for autonomy)
2. Master (advantage):
   • Focus on EV systems, control systems, AI for autonomous vehicles, or energy systems

3. Key Skills

   • Battery Management Systems (BMS): Understanding of lithium-ion battery chemistry, thermal management, and SoC/SoH estimation.

   • Power Electronics: Inverters, converters, and motor controllers.

   • Energy Optimization: Regenerative braking, route planning for energy efficiency.

   • Simulation Tools: MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, GT-SUITE.
