Export Control Officer

As an Export Control Officer, you will play a key role in safeguarding our international business operations. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks related to export control and sanctions, implementing global standards at a local level, and ensuring ongoing compliance with national and international regulations.

Your work will directly support the strategic and operational integrity of cross-border transactions by applying expert knowledge and proactively identifying potential legal or regulatory risks.

Policy and Process Implementation

• Implement and monitor compliance with export control laws
• Localize and apply global standards and procedures
• Conduct internal reviews of export control processes
• Act as the main point of contact for all export control–related inquiries at local level
• Monitor changes in national legislation and ensure timely adjustments to processes
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and audit trails
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in implementing export control policies across business functions

Operational Execution

• Manage export control checks and resolve related blocks in IT systems (e.g., SAP GTS)
• Escalate high-risk issues to central Export Control leadership and local commercial management
• Maintain full documentation in accordance with internal and external audit requirements

Monitoring and Reporting

• Perform ongoing monitoring of daily operations for compliance risk
• Report to global Export Control leadership and local commercial leadership
• Execute annual compliance reviews and issue reports to designated stakeholders
• Maintain communication with local authorities and manage license applications
• Represent the company in external audits and investigations related to export control

Education

• University degree in Business Administration, International Business Law, Trade Compliance, or a related field

Experience

• Several years of relevant experience in export control
• Deep understanding of national export control regulations
• Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization is preferred
• Experience with ERP and compliance systems (SAP GTS preferred)

• Clear and persuasive communicator, able to explain complex topics to diverse audiences

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset
