Field Service Technician Fire Trucks (Clanton, AL)

Join Sunbelt Fire’s award-winning service team and help keep fire trucks mission-ready. We are seeking a Field Service Technician in Central and North, AL to perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fire trucks and emergency vehicles. You’ll work independently in the field with a company-provided service truck, tools, and training, ensuring firefighters have safe, reliable equipment when it matters most.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
   
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fire apparatus and equipment.
   
• Respond to field service calls.
   
• Operate and maintain company service truck, tools, and equipment.
   
• Complete accurate service documentation and communicate with customers and the service team.
   
• Work safely and efficiently to ensure emergency vehicles are always ready for service.

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment technician, or field service mechanic.
   
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, and diesel engines.
   
• Electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
   
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
   
• EVT/ASE certifications a plus (company will provide paid training).
   
• Ability to work independently in the field with professionalism and attention to detail.
