Skillcast plc is a UK-listed e-learning and compliance technology provider that helps companies build ethical, inclusive, and resilient workplaces and a culture of compliance with regulations and standards. Our clients are from all sectors, but the financial services sector is a major focus. The company has an annual turnover of c. £13m - approximately 80% SaaS-based, growing at c. 20% per annum. It has c. 130 employees in London and Malta. 



About the role


We’re looking for a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team of seven with this role being based in our Malta office to cover Maternity Leave. This role is for a period of 9 months. This is a varied, hands-on role that offers exposure across all areas of the finance function. You’ll be working closely with the team to  supporting daily operations.



The role is full-time (5 days from Monday to Friday) and we currently work a hybrid pattern of 3 days from home and 2 days from our office. 


 


Key Responsibilities: 



  • Supporting the finance team in the day-to-day operations e.g. with data entry and maintaining financial databases

  • Sales ledger: from raising sales invoices to credit control, handling incoming queries across the function


 


Key skills and experience required: 




    • Ideally working in a finance-related role and/or currently studying towards a finance or accounting qualification

    • Good Excel skills and comfortable working with numbers

    • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be considered an advantage

    • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written in English - as this role includes client-facing interactions, so fluency in written English is essential

    • Organized, with good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines

    • A team player who’s eager to learn and contribute
