MISSION :

• Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Prepare general ledger for the group closing, local FSA closing and local Tax filing.
• All Finance matter (Controllership, Tax, Treasury, FP&A) of 2 legal entities (COFACE Japan branch and COFACE Service Japan) is covered by 3 Finance persons
• We are seeking individuals who have the willingness to acquire a broad range of Finance knowledge, can manage multitasking independently, and can collaborate to maximize the team's output

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In charge of payroll, billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts and cash disbursements
• Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure that all General ledger accounts are reconciled to parent company and/or subsidiary records on a monthly basis
• Reconciliate the management tool with the Accounting tool
• In charge of quarterly local FSA closing
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties including appointed actuary.
• Coordinate and liaise with other functions in Japan and the region for various financial issues ensuring the quality of accounting information

TAX PROCESSES:

• In charge of quarterly group Tax closing and reporting
• In charge of annual local Tax reporting
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties including tax advisers

TREASURY:

• In charge of payment system operation (i.e. Account payable system and e-Banking system)
• In charge of bank reconciliation, cash forecast

FP&A:

• In charge of monthly and quarterly management reports. Provide financial analysis (i.e. Vs Budget, Previous year).
• Being business partner, support management decision, initiatives
• In charge of budget and forecast by preparation of the financial data for submission to the regional and head office.
• Deliver financial analysis as requested (i.e. SMR).
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by Coface and external regulators

Education and Experience:

• Degree holder in finance, accounting or related disciplines, recognized accounting qualifications, i.e. CPA is preferable
• Native level in Japanese and Business Level English
• 7-10 years relevant working experience in Japan related to accounting/financial reporting
• Sound knowledge of international accounting principles and procedures. As well as local regulatory accounting principles and local taxation regulation
• Some knowledge of insurance company accounting (both JGAAP and IFRS, casualty insurance one is perfect)
