Regional Coordinator/Independent Contractor

  • Hours: Part-time/flexible based on scope of work and region
  • Compensation based on project type and region; payment grid will be provided

Role Overview:

The Teach USA Regional Coordinator is the frontline representative of Teach USA in host schools. This role focuses on teacher support, consistent in-school presence, and trust-building with host school leadership. Coordinators are responsible for ensuring high-quality teacher outcomes while developing strong institutional relationships that support long-term partnerships and future growth.

Coordinators play a critical role in identifying opportunities, gathering on-the-ground intelligence, and supporting renewal and expansion efforts through trusted relationships.

What we’re looking for:

Greenheart would love to partner with someone who has strong relationship-building and communication skills. They should be organized with the ability to operate independently in a field-based role. Experience in education, teacher support, or school-based roles is preferred. They should have excellent project management skills and work ethics along with being collaborative and flexible with changing priorities. Greenheart wants to partner with someone with high emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teacher Support & Retention

  • Provide professional and personal support, serving as a first point of contact for cultural adjustment, classroom management, new teacher arrival support, and logistical needs (such as obtaining a driver's license, social security number, and making recommendations for housing)
  • Facilitate welcome events in collaboration with host school administrators to introduce new teachers to colleagues and the school community
  • Conduct regular host school visits to observe, support, and coach Teach USA teachers
  • Monitor teacher performance, satisfaction, and retention risks
  • Serve as a key point of contact for teacher problem-solving and escalation
  • Partner with internal teams to address performance or placement concerns early
  • Monitor changes in teacher position and host school placement to ensure continued compliance
  • Lead orientation sessions for both teachers and host schools covering program regulations, U.S. educational standards, and cultural expectations
  • Assist teachers as needed by organizing required cross-cultural activities (minimum once a semester) to share their home culture with the host school and community
  • Organize at minimum one group activity per year for teachers to experience an area or event of local interest

Host School Relationship Building

  • Establish a consistent, reliable presence in assigned host schools
  • Build trust-based relationships with principals, assistant principals, and host school administrators
  • Serve as a high-quality, service-oriented partner to host schools
  • Support repeat engagement and renewals through strong day-to-day relationships
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with host school administrators (more frequent if issues arise) to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure regulatory compliance

Market & Opportunity Insight

  • Identify potential expansion opportunities within existing host schools or nearby schools
  • Research hiring timelines, administrators/decision-makers, and host school needs
  • Generate 15-25 warm leads per week and transition opportunities to Sales/Regional Managers when appropriate
  • Provide regional insight to inform sales and placement strategy
  • Gather material to support marketing efforts, including photos, videos, stories, and testimonials

Collaboration & Growth Support

  • Partner closely with Sales/Regional Managers on account health and renewal readiness
  • Support renewal, upsell, and expansion conversations through relationship continuity
  • Maintain basic documentation of school engagement and insights (CRM or internal systems)
  • Participate in collaborative/team projects to improve processes, build relationships, and ensure good communication

Success Metrics:

  • Teacher retention and performance indicators
  • Host school satisfaction and feedback scores
  • Number of warm leads or expansion opportunities identified
  • Number of host schools with repeat or ongoing engagement

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in international studies, education, or related field

Experience: At least two years of professional experience, ideally in an educational setting

Skills:

  • Proficiency with managing data utilizing CRM software (example - Salesforce)
  • Experience working with non-native English speakers preferred
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills

Logistics: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-person host school visits.
