Xentity is seeking a Forest Service Facilitation Specialist to support planning, coordination, and meeting facilitation efforts for a U.S. Forest Service engagement in North Carolina. This role focuses on stakeholder engagement, collaborative planning processes, and facilitation of meetings and workshops in support of land and resource management initiatives. "May" be required to be onsite at various NC USFS facilities This position may be filled as a Full-Time employee, with the option to consider an additional Part-Time position based on candidate availability and project needs. Employment is contingent upon contract award.
Position Scope
Facilitate in-person and virtual meetings, workshops, and planning sessions for Forest Service stakeholders
Support collaborative planning efforts involving federal staff, partners, and external stakeholders
Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and facilitation plans
Capture meeting notes, action items, and summaries to support decision-making
Coordinate logistics and schedules for facilitation activities
Support consensus-building and structured discussions across diverse participant groups
Work closely with Xentity project leadership to align facilitation activities with project objectives
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting facilitation, planning, or stakeholder engagement efforts
Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, Public Administration, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings or workshops in a professional or government setting
Working proficiency with common collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft 365/Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Teams; Zoom/Webex; SharePoint/OneDrive; and PDF tools such as Adobe Acrobat).
Required Requirements
Experience facilitating or supporting collaborative meetings or planning processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Familiarity with land management, environmental planning, or natural resource programs
Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet government contract requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust clearance
Preferred Requirements
Experience working with the U.S. Forest Service or other federal land management agencies
Experience supporting multi-stakeholder or public-facing engagement efforts
Familiarity with facilitation tools, consensus-building techniques, or structured decision-making methods
Familiarity with facilitation and content tools used in the position (e.g., YouTube; Adobe tools such as Adobe Acrobat; and common presentation/recording workflows)
Residency in or strong familiarity with North Carolina

Review existing planning materials and facilitation documentation
Support initial meetings or workshops alongside project leadership
Support facilitation logistics and delivery for in-person and virtual sessions, including groups of up to ~200 attendees
First 60 Days
Independently support facilitation activities and meeting coordination
Prepare facilitation materials and capture meeting outputs
Maintain consistent communication with project leadership
First 90 Days
Lead facilitation components as assigned
Support ongoing stakeholder engagement and planning efforts
Ensure timely documentation and follow-up on meeting outcomes
