Creative Edge, Inc. — operating in part as NeigerDesign, A Creative Edge Company — is a full-service marketing and creative agency with offices in Cape Girardeau, MO, St. Louis, MO, and Evanston, IL and a distributed team. We work across branding & design, digital marketing, video production, and web services for clients ranging from local small businesses to large healthcare non-profits to national trade associations. As our workload grows, we're building a trusted bench of freelance specialists to plug into project teams alongside our in-house staff.

The Role
We're looking for a social media specialist who can manage day-to-day content execution and community engagement for client accounts, working from content calendars and brand strategy set by our Digital Strategy team. This role suits someone who can operate independently between check-ins and treat each client's account with the same care as their own.

What You'll Do

• Schedule and publish content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) per the approved content calendar.


• Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a client's brand voice, escalating anything sensitive.


• Write organic captions for promotions, campaigns, and always-on content.


• Pull basic performance reporting (engagement, reach, follower growth) on a monthly cadence.


• Flag content or creative gaps back to the internal strategy team.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years managing social accounts professionally (agency or brand-side).


• Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Hubspot, Metricool, native platform schedulers).


• Strong platform-native writing instincts — you know what reads as authentic vs. templated.


• Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and voices at once.


• Responsive and reliable — this role requires consistent daily/weekly attention, not just project bursts.
  

Engagement Details

• Contract structure: project-based Statement of Work (SOW) under a standing Master Service Agreement — not W-2 employment.


• Location: remote-friendly; candidates near St. Louis, MO or the Chicago metro area are a plus for occasional in-person work.


• Rate: dependent on experience and project scope; quoted per project or hourly depending on the engagement.


• Onboarding: scoped access to project tools (Teamwork), brand guidelines, and a single internal point of contact for each project.


• Typically structured as an ongoing monthly retainer per client account rather than a one-off project.
