As part of the prestigious Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, this 207-meter-long super-yacht features 14 decks and 95 spacious suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces — offering unmatched elegance on the high seas.
The Head Sommelier plays a crucial role in curating and managing the yacht’s wine program, ensuring that every wine experience reflects the pinnacle of luxury hospitality. This position is responsible for liaising with preferred partners on selecting, sourcing, and promoting an exceptional array of wines that cater to diverse guest preferences across all dining outlets. The Head Sommelier will oversee wine storage, service, and education, ensuring that all team members are equipped to deliver an extraordinary wine experience to guests. RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspire and lead a dedicated beverage team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in wine service.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs focused on wine knowledge, service techniques, and food pairing, empowering staff to enhance guest experiences.
Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages open communication and team engagement.
Assist with curating a distinguished wine program, selecting and sourcing high-quality wines that enhance dining experiences and cater to diverse guest preferences.
Collaborate with culinary teams to design wine pairings that elevate the overall dining experience and highlight the flavors of each dish.
Oversee wine storage and inventory management, ensuring optimal conditions for wine preservation and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement a bespoke in-suite wine service program, offering curated selections tailored to guest preferences, enhancing the overall luxury experience.
Organize exclusive wine tastings and events, leveraging relationships with wine producers and distributors to engage guests and elevate their experience
Assist managing the mini bar program for all suites, ensuring a personalized selection of beverages that meets luxury standards and guest requests and expectations.
Service and Operation of Custom-Built Beverage Trolleys. Oversee the operation of elegantly designed beverage trolleys and sommelier carts, ensuring they are stocked with premium spirits, mixers, and garnishes for on-demand service. Train staff on the art of trolley service, emphasizing presentation and the personal touch that elevates the guest experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
Cruise ship experience mandatory
21+ years old, no offensive tattoos allowed
A degree in Hospitality Management, Beverage Management, or a related field is preferred. Advanced certifications in wine (e.g., WSET, CMS) are highly regarded. Additional training in wine tasting, service, and food pairing is advantageous.
Minimum of 7-10 years in wine service and management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role within a luxury hospitality environment.
Proven experience overseeing wine programs on yachts or in high-end restaurants/hotels is preferred.
Exceptional knowledge of wines, including tasting, storage, and service
Fluent in written and spoken English
Willingness to live and work onboard the Yacht for extended periods, with travel to various international destinations.
