Join Our Team as a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with Wound Care Experience in Missouri

Are you a Certified Medical Assistant who loves the flexibility of traveling to see patients? Sureguard is looking for a dedicated CMA with a passion for wound care. You’ll support our physician by transcribing wound notes, managing appointments, managing the EMRs, travel to help him provide direct patient care, help with ordering product and supplies as needed. If you have a knack for combining clinical and administrative tasks, this might be the perfect fit!

Core Responsibilities

1. Wound Care Documentation

   • Take comprehensive notes during wound consultations
   • Capture images and measurements for patient records
   • Transcribe and send clinical notes to relevant providers

2. Clinical Support

   • Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for treatment
   • Assist the MD as he performs wound care procedures
   • Maintain safety and infection control standards

3. Administrative Tasks

   • Manage and update electronic medical records (EMRs) remotely
   • Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-ups

4. Patient Education & Communication

   • Address patient inquiries in person, over the phone, and via remote platforms
   • Offer easy-to-understand instructions on wound care and treatment plans
   • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

5. Travel & Work

   • Drive to patient locations across Missouri for direct care and wound management
   • Perform additional remote tasks from home or a dedicated workspace

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certification: Active CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA)
• Experience:
  • 1–2 years in a clinical setting preferred
  • Wound care experience is a MUST
• Skills:
  • Comfortable working with EMR systems remotely
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Compassionate approach to patient care
• License & Travel:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (frequent travel around St. Louis and Missouri with overnights required)
• Background Check:
  • Final candidates will be subject to a background check

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)
• Employment Status: Full-time, W2 (40 hours/week)
• Paid Time Off: 2 weeks PTO per year
• Insurance: 100% employer-paid health insurance
