Job Description - Graphic Designer for Business Book Project
At Strategyzer, we’ve shaped how the world thinks about business models and value propositions. Now, we’re turning our focus to something just as crucial: meetings and workshops, the real engines of collaboration in today’s organizations.
We're working on a new book. It’s visual. It’s practical. And like all our previous work, it's designed to simplify the complex and make ideas actionable.
We’re looking for a graphic designer who gets that design isn’t decoration. It’s how people engage with ideas. If you love visual storytelling, thrive on clarity, and can translate abstract thinking into accessible, beautiful business content, we want to talk.
This isn’t just another business book. It’s a tool. A conversation starter. Something you can flip through, reference quickly, and share across teams. And it won’t stop there. It’s integrated with Strategyzer programs on our software platform.
This isn’t another business book. It’s a tool designed to spark conversations, drive alignment, and get used in the real world. You won’t read it once and shelve it. You’ll flip through it, sketch in the margins, and bring it to your next team meeting. And it’s not standalone. It connects seamlessly with our Strategyzer programs on our platform to turn ideas into action, fast.
Let’s build something remarkable together if this excites you!
Collaborate with Alex Osterwalder & Yves Pigneur to bring this business book to life through compelling visual design.
Develop the overall visual identity of the book together with Strategyzer’s head of design: color palette, typography, iconography, and layout principles.
Develop infographics, frameworks, visual metaphors, and page layouts that turn ideas into intuitive and engaging content.
Translate abstract or conceptual workshop/meeting dynamics into digestible, skimmable visuals.
Use AI to speed up prototyping and iteration of designs.
Support print-ready production and export for digital formats if applicable.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience designing visual books, long-form content, or editorial pieces, preferably - but not mandatorily - in the business space.
Strong visual, illustration, and layout design skills.
A portfolio that shows your ability to make ideas visual: infographics, diagrams, processes, and storytelling with design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Figma.
Collaborative mindset: you enjoy co-creating with non-designers, asking good questions, and iterating based on feedback.
Ability to work independently and manage timelines effectively.
Familiarity with Strategyzer’s tools and methods (e.g., Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, Testing Process).
Bonus Points
Experience working on content related to facilitation, design thinking, agile, or collaboration.
Experience as workshop facilitator.
Experience facilitating, applying, or implementing Strategyzer tools.
Motion/animation skills for potential future digital assets.
