Job Description - Guided Study Program Intervention Coordinator

The Guided Study Program Intervention Coordinator manages the daily operations of Brandywine Virtual Academy’s (BVA) Guided Study Program or similar academic intervention initiatives supporting students who are behind in coursework. This role includes leading structured online sessions, providing real-time academic guidance and technical support, monitoring progress, and facilitating student engagement. The coordinator works closely with the BVA Principal, BVA teachers, student advisors and district staff to assess student needs, track performance, and communicate updates.

Position Details:

  • Location: Remote (Work from Home)
    • Must have ability to be in a location to run PA Department of Education FBI clearance
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Duration: 10 months, 2025-2026 school year (working on all student days)
  • Pay Rate: $19.40 per hour
  • Start Date: 8/11 or 8/18
  • Grade Levels: Supporting 9th-12th grade students

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of web-based programs and apps
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to organizational, system and developmental changes with assistance from supervisor and/or colleagues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience as an instructional assistant or similar position preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI
  • TB Screening
  • Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
  • Employees scheduled for 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits
