OUR VISION

Sanctu mission is to restore the Amazon at scale by bringing prosperity to local communities. Small farms in the Amazon have lost forest area equivalent to the size of Germany, predominantly to low-productivity cattle farming, with half a million families who live on less than US$250 per month. Sanctu's platform harnesses the collective power of these low-income farmers by turning them into Guardians. The platform assists them in transforming their degraded land into native and biodiverse forests, and monetize this by selling high-quality carbon credits and bioproducts. Sanctu's potential is immense – by restoring only 5% of small farms in the Amazon, it aims  to create a US$2bn revenue generational business, while simultaneously multiplying the Guardians' income by 5x.

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are assembling the best team on Earth to tackle one of the world's toughest problems. In that context, we are looking for a world-class Head of Finance to lay the foundation of a capital-efficient organisation and pave the way for further fundraising through debt and equity.

 REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for a seasoned business professional with prior experience in investment banking, private equity, or prestigious consulting firms. This is a comprehensive and fascinating role, which will require to:

• Create complex financial models


• Create compelling presentations to actively engage existing and potential investors


• Have experience in structured finance and debt financing


• Implement an ERP system


• Implement and streamline our accounting and auditing processes


• Build a cost-conscious and efficient organisation


• Coordinate legal efforts across tax, corporate, and regulatory domains


• Fluency in English and Portuguese
