What You’ll Do as a Transportation Highway Group Manager

• Deliver transportation projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life in local communities.
• Foster a high-performing, motivated team through clear expectations, constructive feedback, mentoring, and career development.
• Oversee the design and execution of highway engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Serve as the technical expert, guiding the team on best practices, decisions, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes and conduct technical audits to ensure high standards.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure effective resource allocation, adequate staffing, and utilization to meet project and team goals.

Salary Range $110,000-$170,000

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Transportation Group Highway Manager

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• 8-15 years’ experience in civil transportation engineering
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
• Prior staff management preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred
• Familiarity with NYDOT design standards preferred
