Hospice RN QAPI

RN QAPI (Remote) 

James River Home Health & Hospice is a rapidly growing, locally owned company focused on delivering high-quality patient care. We're looking for a Hospice QAPI RN to join our team! In this role, you’ll support our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program through chart audits, documentation review (especially in wound care), and staff education. You'll also help ensure we stay compliant with state, federal, and local regulations while promoting excellence in client care.

A brief overview of Responsibilities:  

• Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI): Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of QI/QA initiatives, including chart audits, documentation reviews, wound management consultations, and case conferences. Assist in implementing corrective actions and tracking improvements. Conduct annual satisfaction surveys.


• Staff Training & Education: Provide ongoing education on quality standards, documentation, and performance improvement. Collaborate with leadership to enhance home care quality.

• Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure adherence to HIPAA and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidentiality. Conduct annual job description reviews to align with hiring standards.
  

Qualifications: 

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)  licensed in Virginia. (Graduate of an accredited nursing school) 


• Experience in home healthcare or hospice settings with a strong understanding of QAPI programs.


• Proficiency in chart audits, clinical documentation review, and quality improvement processes.


• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to educate staff effectively


• Strong knowledge of wound care management and evaluation


• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.


• OASIS and HCHB experience PLUS!
