HVAC Technician

We are looking for experienced HVAC Service Technician who is driven, self motivated, and professional in Frederick and Montgomery County, MD. We offer a sign on bonus UP TO $3,500. Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED


• 2 yrs. + experience as a Residential Service Technician (not helper)


• Proficient with residential HVAC troubleshooting and repair


• Thorough understanding of the maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems


• Understand electrical, mechanical and control systems


• Must be able to read and understand low voltage schematics


• Professional appearance


• Organized with attention to detail


• Dependable and strong work ethic


• Ability to work independently


• Fluent in English (oral and written)


• Valid driver's license

Preferred Education and Experience:

• CFC Card


• History of continuing education in the HVAC industry

Job Functions/Tasks:

• Refer to blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair existing equipment


• Use of diagnostic equipment to identify and address system problems


• Travel to homes as scheduled in their appointment slot


• Perform consultations with customers


• Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods


• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety


• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity


• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools


• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues


• Repair damaged HVAC systems


• Offer maintenance agreements to customers


• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources


• Follow company and industry safety guidelines and regulations


• Clean work area, machines, tools and supplies


• Perform other related duties as assigned
