Position: Consultant or Senior Consultant

Location: Remote in Los Angeles

Salary: $105,000–$150,000

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Schedule: Flexible hours, remote-first environment, approximately 40 hours per week

Travel: Occasional travel to project and client sites, primarily throughout Southern California

A leading U.S.-based technology consulting and design firm is seeking a Structured Cabling / ICT Design Consultant to join its Design and Engineering team.

This opportunity is well suited to someone currently working in technology consulting, architecture, engineering, construction, or low-voltage design who wants to deepen their expertise in ICT infrastructure and technology systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Structured cabling systems, including Cat 6A and optical fiber


• Pathway design and telecommunications room planning


• Coordination within the AEC design process


• Working with architects, engineers, facility IT teams, and other building-system designers


• Related low-voltage technologies such as audiovisual, security, and healthcare systems


• Client-facing consulting and project leadership within an architectural project environment

What You’ll Do

As an ICT Infrastructure Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering coordinated technology design solutions across a variety of complex building projects.

You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal design teams to develop design documents, drawing packages, specifications, cost estimates, and other project deliverables.

Responsibilities include:

• Work within project teams to understand client needs, project goals, standards, scope, budget, and schedule


• Conduct project needs assessments and programming meetings with clients


• Provide ICT and low-voltage design services, including:
  
  
  
  • Structured cabling systems
  
  
  • Telecommunications room layouts
  
  
  • Pathway sizing and coordination with architectural and MEP systems
  
  
  • Healthcare technology systems such as RTLS, nurse call, DAS, ERRCS, patient engagement systems, clocks, elapsed timers, and related technologies
  
  
  
  


• Work with BIM teams to develop drawings, details, diagrams, and Bluebeam markups


• Assist with specifications and design narratives


• Participate in client and architect meetings to discuss technical requirements and project progress


• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, models, and construction documents


• Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and punch walks


• Develop and maintain client and industry relationships


• Continue developing technical expertise and maintaining professional certifications


• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
