Job Description - Information Management Clerk

The Information Management Clerk position at Habitat Group calls for a meticulously organized individual who is passionate about data handling and classification. This role involves maintaining and updating vital company information in an efficient and secure manner. The successful candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks at once while ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files and managing projects.
  • Answering telephones and transferring to staff, or taking messages as required.
  • Inputting and retrieving computer data and text.
  • Creating and revising systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record keeping systems, forms control, and budgetary requirements.
  • Compiling, copying, sorting, and filing records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
  • Maintaining and updating filing, inventory, mailing and database systems.
  • Completing and mailing bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks.
  • Operating office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a file clerk.
  • Knowledge of filing systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient typing and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
