Infrastructure Administrator

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of DeepHealth. We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Administrator in South Carolina or Massachusetts.

This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure expert who thrives in dynamic environments. You will oversee cloud and on-premises systems to ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable IT operations. From virtualization and Kubernetes to backup, storage, and capacity planning, you’ll support critical systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The position is primarily remote, but involves domestic and international travel to data centers and events up to 50% of the time.

Accountabilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with a focus on performance, cost, and security.
• Manage virtualized infrastructure using VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM and oversee Kubernetes cluster operations and scaling.
• Perform system administration duties on Linux and Windows servers, including routine maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and improve infrastructure health, scalability, and business continuity with robust backup and recovery systems.
• Manage SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage with a focus on performance, data integrity, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Analyze and plan for future infrastructure capacity needs while optimizing current resource usage.
• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, from configurations to internal process manuals.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals and provide timely updates.

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in infrastructure administration.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of storage management, backup systems, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, CKA) are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
