IT Application Engineer - Solunio

The work can be managed remotely – with time-to-time office presence depending on the team’s agreement and the demand of the respective professional area – from any location in Hungary. In case of some company events, office attendance is expected from the colleagues. Technical conditions for working from home are fully in place.

Job Description:

Seeking an IT Application Engineer to lead the implementation and support of Solunio, our new Digital Shopfloor Management software. This role combines operational management with development activities, ensuring the solution is both effectively deployed and continuously enhanced to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical enablement of the Solunio software, ensuring it is optimally deployed in cloud-native, containerized environments.
• Ensure the software runs smoothly, maintaining up-to-date software versions and a secure operational environment.
• Scale the software to accommodate growth and changing business needs efficiently.
• Connect new data sources to the existing system, ensuring seamless integration and data flow.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and enhance the Solunio solution based on company needs and objectives.
• Work on gathering and analyzing business requirements to inform solution enhancements.
• Prepare solution proposals that align with business requirements and strategic goals.
• Work closely with the software supplier to explore and evaluate potential options and enhancements.
• Implement solutions and facilitate the rollout of Solunio to new sites, ensuring effective integration and adoption.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in application engineering or IT support roles, particularly with cloud-native solutions and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure reliable software operations in a secure cloud environment.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Proficient in writing SQL scripts for database management and data integration.
• Knowledge of shopfloor processes and the management of shopfloor data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across different teams.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting is advantageous.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in the automotive industry or with Digital Shopfloor Management solutions.
• Background in working with enterprise-level SaaS platforms and IT infrastructure operations.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and experience in software development life cycles.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or IT support engineering.
