This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote IT Manager Development. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to implementing innovative technology solutions for regulatory financial reporting. Your leadership will directly impact the accuracy and efficiency of trade reporting across multiple global jurisdictions. As an IT Manager, you will guide our development efforts while collaborating closely with business analysts and QA teams to meet compliance and operational goals. This position requires excellent communication and management skills to oversee a team while supporting strategic project initiatives.
Accountabilities
- Lead a development team of 4-6 Scala developers, building ETL solutions for regulatory data requirements.
- Work with technology business analysts and QA to understand regulatory and business requirements.
- Communicate development issues and priorities to business stakeholders.
- People management responsibility for the team, supporting team performance objectives.
- Liaise with infrastructure and engineering teams to define hardware and system requirements.
- Assist with L3 Production Support and lead the team in supporting ongoing application maintenance.
- Ensure applications meet all relevant regulatory and audit requirements.
- Proactively manage issues from discovery to resolution.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience leading a Java or Scala development team.
- 8+ years Java experience or 3+ years Scala experience.
- 3+ years experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database preferred.
- Experience with ETL systems, REST APIs, JSON.
- Pro-active with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in financial services and capital markets preferred.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence (or similar tools).
- Some experience with cloud technologies preferred.
