Job Description - IT Support/Sys Admin

Dealstack is on a mission to power private equity. Today, there is no purpose-built tech in place to power the world of private equity. Dealmaking is manual, chaotic and backward. Dealstack is a SaaS platform that puts an end to these outdated practices, setting a new collaboration standard in the industry. Dealstack is built by PE, for PE. Founded by experienced professionals from within the industry, our products sit at the intersection of SaaS, fintech and legaltech. Company’s headquarters are in London, but there are also people working remotely from few locations (Poland and South Africa). Current headcount is 25. Dealstack is ISO27001 and Soc2 certified.
Dealstack has an ambitious, multi-product roadmap. The first product went live in 2023. It allows private equity professionals to easily onboard and maintain investment programmes. Because we are planning to bring IT Support/System Administrator role in house, we are looking for ambitious individual, with proven IT support/admin skills and experience to support our Dealstack Team part time, remotely (10-15h/month depending on the team’s needs). The role presents an exciting opportunity to support and deliver innovation to a fast-moving industry.
  • You have at least bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • You have 4+ years of commercial experience as an IT support or System Administrator at an international tech company which was ISO27001 or/and Soc2 certificated
  • Willing to work remotely with other team members spread across few locations (UK, Poland and South Africa)
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, interested in working part time
  • Interested in maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of hardware, software, and networks
  • Opinionated and passionate - we like people who have strong opinions about their work and are happy to work with the international teams across world
  • General IT support& admin tasks for Dealstack
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers or auditors as needed
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues 
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Setting up new/old and administer Windows, MacBook and/or Linux servers and machines, Active Directory, and user account management
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset inventory and network diagrams
  • Set up new user accounts, email configurations, and access controls
  • Perform regular backups and recovery testing
  • Maintain and support cloud-based tools (e.g., Office 365, MS licenses - 365 Business Premium, Defender for Office, NA Solarwinds MSP pro, VU backup WL Acronis Hosted Storage for per Workload model - Acronis Cyber Protect)
  • Entra, Intune, Acronis - management, enrolling laptops & phones into company portal, setting up already existing policies
  • Windows, Macbook and Linux updates, patches, fixes, installations
  • With time also taking some of DevOps’s admin responsibilities 
  • Managing Shared Mailboxes 
  • Ensuring compliance with IT security policies and data protection regulations as well as with the ISO27001 and Soc2 certifications
You will be part of the IT support/admin team and will work closely (if needed) with our DevOps team
  • At least bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • 4+ years of commercial experience as an IT support or System Administrator at an international tech company which was ISO27001 or/and Soc2 certificated
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS/Linux, networking concepts, and common business applications
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and very strong communication, influencing and presentation skills, with a deep sense of personal excellence and accountability
  • International experience and knowledge; cultural sensitivity and ability to work across 
multiple markets / cultures
  • Positive, mature approach to problem solving
  • High EQ and interpersonal skills, with an ability to read and respond to complex and challenging situations
  • Team player with a desire and ability to function in a fun, flexible, changing environment
  • Speak very good English (on daily basis)
