Junior Business Partner Controlling (m/w/d)

As Business Partner Controlling you are responsible for the initiation and control of our strategic processes. You will further advise other functional areas on the evaluation and interpretation of business data. As a result, you also share responsibility for the achievement of goals. You have a very important key position at Matrix42.

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the VP Controlling and CFO in the evolution of the scope, capacity, and performance of the controlling function
• Partner with engineering / research & development and product teams to assist with budget planning, monthly budget analysis, ad-hoc modeling, and to support their respective headcount and expense management needs
• Collaborate closely with entire controlling team to build the company budget, understand budget variances, track key operational and financial metrics, and to produce the monthly and quarterly management reporting packages and forecast updates
• Drive growth, transparency and operational improvements across the team and the Company, based on a thorough understanding of the operational drivers of business functions
• Work closely with the larger finance function to provide Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) input and advice to maximize the accuracy and flow of data

Must have:

• 2+ years combined relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, corporate finance, strategic planning, or management consulting
• Talent for financial modeling as well as data analysis & reporting backed up by excellent knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, to juggle multiple priorities, and to stay flexible through growth and change
• Approach work with curiosity, an eye for detail, strong initiative, and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
