We are looking for an L3 Security / Incident Response Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise for complex security investigations, major incidents, threat hunting, and technical escalations within an AI-enabled cybersecurity service. The underlying platform automates the initial stages of security operations, allowing this role to focus on cases that require deeper investigation, advanced analysis, and specialized incident response expertise. You will investigate complex incidents, analyze attack chains and blast radius, conduct threat hunting, and provide advanced technical support to L2 and other security engineering resources. The role may initially operate in a shared or fractional capacity across multiple customers and can evolve into dedicated resources or specialized pods as service volume increases.

Key Responsibilities​​​​​

• Lead and support complex security investigations escalated from L2 Security Operations.


• Investigate and respond to major security incidents.


• Conduct threat hunting activities.


• Analyze attack chains to understand how security incidents developed.


• Determine the potential blast radius and scope of security incidents.


• Provide advanced technical analysis for escalated security cases.


• Support technical escalations requiring L3 incident response expertise.


• Collaborate with L2 Security Operations, Cloud Security, Detection & Automation, and other specialized security resources.


• Provide technical guidance during complex investigations, containment, and remediation activities.


• Support the delivery of cybersecurity services across multiple customers.


• Contribute to an operating model that may evolve from shared/fractional capacity to dedicated resources, pods, and 24x7 coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in Security Incident Response and complex security investigations.


• Experience responding to major security incidents.


• Hands-on experience with threat hunting.


• Experience analyzing attack chains and determining incident scope or blast radius.


• Ability to handle complex technical security escalations.


• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.


• Ability to work across security operations and specialized security engineering teams.


• Experience working in environments where automated security tooling is combined with human-led investigation and response.


• Ability to operate effectively in a shared, fractional, dedicated, or pod-based service delivery model.
