O’Hagan Meyer is looking for an organized and professional litigation Legal Assistant to join our New York City law office. This individual will provide vital assistance to a team of attorneys by handling case-related tasks, preparing a variety of legal documentation, and managing case files. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in legal terminology, and understands the electronic filing procedures in State and Federal Courts. This will be full-time, remote position.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive litigation support to multiple attorneys, managing heavy and complex caseloads
Prepare, revise, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence in compliance with applicable court rules
Prepare court filings for state, federal and appellate courts, including electronic and traditional filings
Coordinate travel arrangements. Prepare, submit, and track travel and expense reimbursements
Assist with discovery and trial support, including document production, exhibit preparation, and court filings. Support scanning, photocopying, and binder preparation as needed
Create and maintain filing systems and databases in compliance with office policies to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval
Maintain and monitor litigation calendars, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates
Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: $61,000 to $115,000
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
3+ years of prior work experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or related role in litigation.
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, NYSCEF, Pacer and ECF Filing Systems
Previous iManage experience preferred but not required
Prior remote work
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
Strong understanding of client confidentiality rules
