Role Overview

Are you a skilled legal professional with expertise in contract drafting and management? Do you have a strong command of Kazakhstani law and experience in sectors like banking, startups, or digital initiatives such as Astana Hub or Almaty Digital?

We are seeking a part-time Legal Expert to provide strategic legal support and solutions tailored to our business needs.

In this role, you will ensure legal compliance, draft and manage contracts, and oversee agreements, all while applying your in-depth understanding of the Kazakhstani legal landscape.

Main Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Kazakhstani law.

• Maintain a structured and up-to-date contract management system.

• Provide expert legal guidance on operational, corporate, and compliance matters.

• Address legal requirements specific to startups and tech hubs, such as Astana Hub or Almaty Digital.

• Prepare and update essential legal documents, including terms of service, privacy policies, operational agreements, and other required documents for banks, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure all legal documentation aligns with company objectives.

• 5+ years of professional experience in corporate law, contract management, or related fields within Kazakhstan.

• Conversational English, proficient in Russian.

• A Law degree; membership in the Kazakhstan Bar Association is an advantage.

• In-depth knowledge of Kazakhstani legal frameworks.

• Proven expertise in contract law and legal matters related to banking.

• Familiarity with initiatives such as Astana Hub or Almaty Digital is highly preferred.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
