The National Pork Board, funded by the Pork Checkoff, is seeking a Manager Show Pig Industry Relations. As a key member of the Producer and State Engagement Team, this individual will serve as a key ambassador for the National Pork Board—connecting with breeders, exhibitors, and industry partners to the broader swine industry by strengthening the Pork Checkoff’s presence and impact in the show pig industry community. This individual is highly relational, and integrity driven. This role will support and augment Pork Checkoff projects and programs with the show pig industry, including but not limited to swine health, sustainability and talent development. A strong understanding of the show pig sector is essential, and familiarity with commercial pork production is a valued asset. In this role, the individual will serve as a representative of the Pork Checkoff with U.S pork producers through industry events and projects

This position is expected to travel frequently for extended periods, up to 50%, by air or car, including nights and weekends. Valid driver’s license required.
The National Pork Board’s corporate office is located in Clive, IA. Remote candidates will be considered. Application deadline is 8/28/25 however, we may speak to qualified candidates prior to the close date.
Full-time starting salary range is $70K-$95K. Please note: This starting range is based on a general market pay assessment. However, individual salary decisions take into account a variety of factors including but not limited to: business and local market considerations, internal equity, and overall candidate skills, education and experience.
The National Pork Board has responsibility for Checkoff-funded research, promotion and consumer information projects and for communicating with pork producers and the public. The Pork Checkoff funds national and state programs in advertising, consumer information, retail and foodservice marketing, export market promotion, production improvement, technology, swine health, pork safety and environmental management. Applicants should be able to able to support he mission of the organization with enthusiasm to serve U.S. pork producers.
