Job Description - Marketing Technology & Ops Generalist - 20702

Marketing Technology & Operations Generalist

The person we can hand a Loom and a doc and get the finished, tested thing back

Location:  Fully remote, but must work U.S. Eastern (EST) business hours

Employment:  Full-time, independent contractor

Reports to:  Performance Marketing Lead

Focus split:  ~40% landing pages & funnels / ~40% marketing data & reporting / ~20% Meta ad-account health

About the Company

We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based crypto consulting and investing-education company. Over the past four years we have served 1,600+ investors, and our fulfilment team advises on hundreds of millions of dollars in crypto capital. We run a high-velocity, direct-response paid-acquisition operation, and we are now scaling a new done-for-you crypto investing software brand alongside our established education brand. This is a fast-moving environment where accuracy, speed, and reliability matter. Note: this role supports marketing in the crypto and digital-asset space, including its advertising rules, so comfort working in that category is helpful.

About the Role

This role exists to be the operational backbone of our performance-marketing team. We move fast and run a lot of moving parts, and we need one capable generalist who can execute across the marketing-tech stack without hand-holding: building and QA'ing landing pages, keeping our reporting accurate and on time, and keeping our Meta ad account healthy and compliant.

This is not a junior assistant role, and it is not a narrow specialist role. The defining trait we are looking for is simple: we can hand you a Loom recording and a Google Doc, and you come back with the thing built and verified, without a long chain of clarifying questions. You work directly with our Performance Marketing Lead across a diverse range of marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Landing Pages & Funnels (~40%)

  • Build and edit landing pages and funnels in Lovable from a Loom walkthrough and a written brief.

  • Integrate funnel tech: forms, calendars, redirects, and thank-you pages.

  • Make sure tracking events fire correctly on every page.

  • Keep page versions organized so we can tell which is which in reporting.

  • QA every page mobile-first, on both desktop and mobile: buttons work, forms submit, redirects work, and there are no spelling errors. Own the final check before anything goes live.

Marketing Data & Reporting (~40%)

  • Ensure daily data reporting is correct and on time.

  • Reconcile figures across Meta, HubSpot, and our reporting sheet, and chase down differences rather than reporting them as they are.

  • Help rebuild our reporting to pull directly from the Meta and HubSpot interfaces using Google Apps Script, instead of a third-party connector.

  • Record a short Loom whenever you make a judgement call on the data, for example which leads you excluded as spam and why.

Meta Ad-Account Health (~20%)

  • Upload creative and build ads to a naming convention, keeping the account tidy.

  • Review rejected ads daily, work out which policy was triggered, and either rewrite the copy to comply or submit an appeal.

  • Rewrite ad copy against a compliance checklist we provide, for example no guarantees, no specific return figures, and no claims about the viewer's personal finances.

  • Flag anything that could put the ad account at risk before it does.

Required Qualifications

  • You have built landing pages or funnels in a visual builder and can show live examples.

  • You are genuinely competent in Google Sheets: lookups, conditional totals, and the ability to work out why a formula is returning the wrong number.

  • You can read and modify JavaScript. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be able to take a working script and extend it.

  • You have worked inside Meta Ads Manager and understand how campaigns, ad sets, and ads fit together.

  • You write and speak clear English and can follow a written brief precisely.

  • You check your own work and report what you actually verified, not what you assume happened.

  • You are a solid, well-rounded marketing-tech generalist, not a junior assistant or a narrow specialist.

  • You are available to work U.S. Eastern (EST) hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, or Conversions API experience.

  • HubSpot, especially contacts, deals, meetings, and workflows.

  • Direct experience with the Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, or Meta Marketing interfaces.

  • Exposure to crypto or financial-services marketing and the advertising rules that come with it.

  • Basic short-form video editing.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are fast and reliable, and this matters enormously. You never say something is done unless you have checked it. You are comfortable saying you have not verified something yet, but you never claim something works when it does not. When you are unsure, you ask once, clearly, then proceed, because you would rather ask a question than have someone unpick a wrong assumption later. You move easily between building a page, debugging a formula, and cleaning up an ad account without losing quality, and you take real ownership of getting things right before they go live.
