Job Description - Material Coordinator




Prime Response Inc. (PRI), is seeking a full-time Material Coordinator for a long-term government contract located in Washington, DC. This position is onsite 4 days per week with 1 day per week working remotely. Parking is currently provided but could change based on the needs of the civilian agency.




Responsibilities include but are not limited to:







  • Coordinate daily receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to meet project and work order requirements.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using software systems ensuring accountability and reducing inventory discrepancies.

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure compliance with supply chain and quality control standards.

  • Monitor incoming shipments, resolve delivery issues, and track order status to maintain uninterrupted operations.

  • Liaise between warehouse staff, field teams, and suppliers to align material availability with operational needs.

  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials.

  • Generate as needed daily and weekly reports on inventory status, usage trends, and forecasted needs to support planning efforts.

  • Supported shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, documentation, and logistics coordination.

  • Understands warehousing processes and systems.

  • Understands inventory management systems.

  • Experience with furniture moving preferred.

  • Ability to use a computer.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Highly dependable and punctual.

  • Furniture moves and relocations.

  • Operating the Warehouse Management System.






Requirements



  • Must have inventory experience.

  • Must be capable of passing a background check and drug test to receive a government badge.

  • Experience with government contracts is preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be capable of standing, bending, and walking for the majority of a workday.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry moderately heavy material (up to 50 lbs.).
