We are looking for an engineer with more than 2 years of full-time experience developing manufacturing processes, automated machines, and custom fixtures.

Engineers with 2 years+ of Solidworks experience, and a minimum of 2 years working professionally (i.e. not as a student) developing new manufacturing processes (e.g. vision inspection, material handling, glue dispensing, assembly, mechanical testing, etc), automated machines, and custom fixtures. An engineering or bachelor's degree is not required. We are more concerned with your skills and capability than we are the college you attended (or didn’t).

Responsibilities are as follows:
- Design mechanical systems for new custom equipment, fixtures, and machines using Solidworks (must have working knowledge of motion control and automation hardware such as motors, actuators, air cylinders, sensors, etc, as well as a broad working knowledge of automation hardware suppliers)
- R&D activities to develop new manufacturing processes (around which machines and fixtures will be built)
- Have working knowledge of and ability to implement OTS hardware (e.g. toggle clamps, spring plungers, shoulder screws, dowel pins, gears, etc) and automation equipment (e.g. motors, linear actuators, air cylinders, sensors, vision systems, PLCs, etc) into new equipment designs
- Utilize working knowledge and experience to design for the following manufacturing processes (in order of frequency): machining, 3D printing, sheetmetal and/or weldments, & plastic injection molding
- Basic engineering analyses of parts, assemblies, and systems
- Bench top testing & assembly of prototype parts and assemblies
- Create documentation (manufacturing drawings, reports, etc)
- Design reviews & meetings with customers, vendors, & other Pipeline team members
- Experience programming (e.g. PLCs, C++, LabVIEW, Python, etc) for automation is a big plus (but not required)
