Medical Biller (Ambulance)

Rapid Response EMS is seeking an experienced Ambulance Biller to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of Florida ambulance billing regulations, insurance laws, and payer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to take on the challenges of EMS billing in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit medical claims for ambulance transports in compliance with Florida and federal billing regulations.
• Verify patient and payer information for accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve claim rejections, denials, and appeals in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of insurance and compliance updates relevant to ambulance services.
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure accurate documentation and billing records.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of ambulance or EMS billing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Florida statutes and billing regulations related to ambulance services.
• Proficiency with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
• TraumaSoft experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
