Primary responsibility is to independently conduct the Member Leadership Series conferences for middle school and high school students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: facilitating conference curriculum*, providing counsel to participants, and motivating students. Previous teaching/facilitation experience is required. FFA knowledge is strongly preferred. Conference trainers will also handle administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to timely completion of expense vouchers, scheduling of their conference travel, and correspondence with state and national FFA staff. Applicants selected for this position will be ineligible to run for national FFA office. Specific program requirements and details are listed below:
MEMBER LEADERSHIP SERIES CONFERENCE DETAILS:
Mandatory training: August 11th – August 15th, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana
Conference Season Beginning Date: on or before 9/1/2025
Conference Season Ending Date: on or before 6/30/2026
Conference Location: various locations
Compensation: $464 for training and $464 per conference, plus lodging, transportation and meal expenses.
Specific Requirements: Facilitators are expected to have flexible availability for the majority of the conference season. Conferences are scheduled by state associations and typically range from 1-2 days in length, not including travel time. Facilitators work in pairs at conference locations and receive off-site support from National FFA Program staff. Average audience per conference ranges from 70-200 student participants.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
To apply for the 2025-2026 Member Leadership Series season, please follow the instructions below.
a. Video Requirements:
i. Videos should showcase at least two of the following steps: setting context, giving directions, and/or processing learning.
ii. Videos should also focus on demonstrating your ability to build rapport with an audience and showcase your personality.
iii. Videos should take into consideration the conference setting as it relates to this position.
iv. Videos will be reviewed to determine your overall facilitation skills. It’s encouraged to avoid using staged or scripted content.
v. Videos should NOT include extra graphics, music, underscore, etc.
vi. Videos should be 3-5 minutes in length.
Video Option 1) Facilitation Example (with a live audience)
· Record a video facilitating content, of your choice, with a live audience (both in-person or virtual are acceptable). The video must meet the requirements above. Note: You may use the content linked below but it is not required for this option.
Video Option 2) Facilitation Demo (without a live audience)
· If you are unable to access a live audience during the application period, you may submit a video facilitating THIS CONTENT without an audience. The video must still meet the requirements above.
· After the facilitation demonstration, you should include an explanation for the two questions below in your video.
1. How would you check for student understanding throughout the activity?
2. How would you build rapport with students throughout the activity?
b. Submitting Videos:
i. Videos should be uploaded to YouTube and saved as a public video.
ii. A link to the YouTube video should be added to the application question that says, “Add your facilitation video link here, if applicable.”
iii. Be sure the link is accessible to public view.
Uploading your video: Please upload your video to YouTube. This will require you to create an account if you don’t already have one. Visit https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en if you need assistance uploading videos. A link to the YouTube video should be added to the application question that says, “Add your facilitation video link here, if applicable.”
2. Click the link below to complete the online application process and upload a current resume. Be sure to include a cover letter, at least three references and the link to your video in the one resume file that you upload. All of the elements (cover letter, resume with video link, references) must be contained in a single file that you upload in the application wizard.
Note: If you have worked for the National FFA Organization as a conference trainer for State Officer Programs, Washington Leadership Conference, Member Leadership Series or have served as a National FFA Officer within the previous three years and completed your employment in good standing, you do not need to submit a video. A cover letter, resume and completed application are required for all applicants.
Applicants must have applied and submitted all materials through the application system and preference will be given to those that apply by April 17th, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST.
Applicants selected for this position will be ineligible to run for National FFA Office or serve on the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee.
