This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about building relationships and creating inclusive opportunities for youth.

This individual will attend and host events, in-person and virtually, build partnerships with schools and community organizations across a designated territory, and directly influence the growth and success of Girl Scouting in your area.

This is a hybrid role, NOT a fully remote position. The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina and will be expected to travel regularly, approximately 4–5 times per week, to attend in-person events across Orange and Chatham  Counties.

The annual salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000.

  • Develop strategies to identify and address membership growth opportunities based on analysis of demographics and community needs.
  • Promptly follow up on leads and referrals.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-person or virtual sessions to meet with prospective members in a variety of settings and venues; prepare and present information to audiences intended to increase awareness, interest, and membership in GSNCCP.
  • Promote and support council fundraising efforts and initiatives, including but not limited to Fall Product Sale, Annual Cookie Sale Program, and Family Partnership.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with donors, United Ways, members, volunteers, staff, and community contacts.
  • Demonstrate leadership by effectively managing conflict through modeling appropriate behavior, problem-solving, and providing support.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, membership, recruitment of volunteers, or account management preferred. A Bachelor’s degree will be considered.
  • Ability to work with volunteers and community contacts from diverse backgrounds and to build effective volunteer leadership teams.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.  This position requires working an average of 2-4 evenings per week during peak recruitment season with extensive travel within the designated territory.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce results.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be detail-oriented.
  • This position requires driving a council vehicle or a personal vehicle; therefore, the individual must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license, and self-report any vehicle violations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Commitment to GSNCCP and GSUSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Racial Justice (DEIB/RJ) initiatives.
  • Must be willing to obtain a GSUSA membership upon employment.
