Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking a full-time Mobile Fire Truck Mechanic to cover Huntington, WV and the surrounding areas that include Milton, Portsmouth, OH and Iceland, KY areas.

Our Mobile Fire Truck Mechanics are responsible for: 

• Analyzing malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the chassis, body, water pumps, electrical components, and engines. 
• Operate and inspect this equipment and evaluate the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating condition
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using their own and company provided specialized tooling
• Repair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, various pumps, and basic engine components 
• Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty.

Requirements

Successful candidate will have at least three years of prior experience in the heavy truck industry, along with being able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required. Additionally, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with a tanker endorsement is required or must be willing to obtain. ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications as well as state inspection license a plus.
