Municipal Classification & Compensation Consultant (Civilian Workforce) - Myrtle

AlphaGov is seeking a Municipal Classification & Compensation Consultant to lead the civilian-workforce workstream on an active municipal classification and compensation study (City of Myrtle Beach, SC — proposal due early October 2026).

What you'll do:

• Lead the civilian-workforce classification structure review (approximately 270 titles)
• Develop civilian pay-grade recommendations and implementation options
• Conduct market benchmarking versus peer municipalities
• Present findings to project leadership and contribute to client-ready study deliverables
• Contribute municipal class/comp leadership qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned

Required:

• Municipal classification and compensation study leadership experience
• Public-sector HR consulting background
• Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites

Nice to have:

• South Carolina local-government experience
• Classification and compensation studies for organizations of 1,000+ employees
• Presentations to Boards, Councils, or elected officials
