• Serving as the primary architect of the 3M-Grainger strategic roadmap, ensuring both organizations achieve market-leading incremental growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Acceleration: Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy to expand 3M’s footprint within Grainger’s US and Canadian National Account organizations.
• Proactive Engagement: Lead "accelerated engagement" initiatives with the Grainger National Account organization, ensuring 3M is the preferred partner for large-scale industrial end-user contracts.
• Program & Project Management: Design and deploy national sales programs, promotional campaigns, and logistical enhancements. You will manage the project lifecycle from ideation through field execution.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central nervous system between 3M’s various divisions (e.g., PSD, Abrasives, IATD) and Grainger’s National Account sales and leadership teams.
• Market Intelligence: Utilize advanced business intelligence to identify white-space opportunities, analyze competitive threats, and adapt strategies to shifting industrial distribution trends.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years in Key Account Management, Industrial Distribution, or Sales Leadership in a private, public, government or military environment
• One (1) year of experience in Project Management frameworks in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• MBA
• Experience managing multi-national accounts (specifically US/Canada) is highly desirable.

Territory: - US and Canada

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
