ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1992, After-School All-Stars is a national non-profit organization which provides free, daily afterschool programs to more than 150,000 children in need at 728 school and community sites in 18 chapters across the U.S. Our goals for our All-Stars are the same we have for our own children: to be healthy and active, to graduate high school and go on to college, to find a job that they love and to give back to their communities. We achieve this by identifying and fueling our students' individual passions, tying their interests to tailored academic support, enrichment and health and fitness programming.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY:
After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is currently seeking a National Programs Manager to oversee and manage national projects and federal grants awarded to ASAS. This position will work in coordination with the Programs & Evaluation Department and Development Department to review and track program impact and development across all participating Chapters. This is the ideal position for dynamic, mission-driven professional who seeking professional development in a fast-pace, entrepreneurial organization. The successful candidate will be an effective collaborator and communicator skilled at managing an array of project and priorities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project & Grant Management
· Collaborate with national departments and local chapter staff in the creation and implementation of national grants and other projects.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reporting requirements and manage the overall compliance of the project or grant.
· Conduct chapter site visits to ensure compliance and program effectiveness.
· Respond to funder requests in a timely manner and ensure audits operate in a highly efficient and effective manner.
· Serve as a liaison between ASAS National Office and local chapter staff.
· Serve as a liaison between ASAS and federal agencies.
Program Development & Support
· Assist in the development and implementation of high-quality programs throughout the national network.
· Research and curate program content to meet diverse and broad programming objectives to fulfill organizational priorities.
· Facilitate regular check-ins with chapters and serve as an instructor/facilitator to deliver high quality trainings to the network.
· Collaborate with national and chapter staff to collect and assess program data.

• At least 5 years of youth development experience (non-profit, out-of-school time, education).
• Proven experience in project and grant management.
• Sound knowledge of youth development and education principles
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing position demands.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially a command of Microsoft Excel is required.
• Highly detail oriented; taking pride in tasks performed at a high level of accuracy.
• Experience with Federal, State and local funding preferred.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $75,000-$85,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience of the individual candidate. This role is based in Los Angeles and requires an in-office presence Monday-Thursday with the option to work remotely on Fridays, for a minimum of 40 hours a week with additional hours as needed throughout the year.
