National Key Account Manager / Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer

Remote, North America

$100,000 - $130,000 Base + Commission

A National Key Account Manager is required for a remote technical sales role focused on engineered HVAC and humidification products across North America. This position will suit a commercially focused HVAC sales professional with experience developing major accounts, supporting technical product selection and working with manufacturer representatives, owners, OEMs, engineers and general contractors.

The National Key Account Manager will be responsible for 4-6 key global and national accounts, with a strong focus on account development, profitable sales growth and technical sales support. The role is remote, with a minimum of 50% travel across customer sites, representative networks and company facilities.

The National Key Account Manager / Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer Role:

• Develop assigned global and national key accounts across North America.


• Promote and sell engineered HVAC and humidification products through a network of independent manufacturer representatives.


• Build relationships with owners, OEMs, engineers, general contractors and other key stakeholders.


• Support quotations, submittals and technical sales activity.


• Deliver profitable sales growth across assigned accounts.


• Coordinate with internal sales managers, sales representatives and international teams on global account activity.


• Support split sales and commission policy coordination where required.


• Travel regularly across North America, including overnight stays and visits to company facilities as needed.

National Key Account Manager / Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

• Experience as a National Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar technical sales role.


• Minimum of five years’ sales experience in the selection, promotion and sale of engineered HVAC products.


• Technical understanding of HVAC equipment, applications and product selection.


• BSME, acceptable technical education or equivalent field experience in HVAC equipment and applications.


• Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in product sizing and selection.


• Strong understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas.


• Ability to work with manufacturer representatives, internal sales teams, customers and technical stakeholders.


• Willingness to travel a minimum of 50% across North America, including overnight stays.
