Position Concept: The Remote Nursing Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction to nursing students in accordance with program standards, accreditation requirements, and current best practices in nursing education. This role includes facilitating student learning, assessing performance, providing timely and constrictive feedback, and fostering engagement in a virtual learning environment. The Remote Nursing Instructor is expected to integrate technology effectively to support diverse learning styles and promote student success and uphold the mission and values of the nursing program.
Essential Job Duties
Teach assigned nursing courses in an engaging and interactive online format, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
Utilize a variety of educational technologies, including learning management systems, virtual classrooms, and multimedia tools, to enhance the student learning experience.
Develop and deliver course content, assignments, assessments, and activities that promote critical thinking, clinical judgement, and professional growth.
Provide timely, constructive, and individualized feedback to students to support academic success and professional development.
Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours, email, and other digital platforms.
Monitor student progress, identify learning challenges, and collaborate with support services to provide appropriate interventions.
Stay current with trends in nursing education, evidence-based practice, and educational technology to continually improve teaching effectiveness.
Participate in course development, curriculum review, and program assessment activities.
Engage in departmental meetings, committees, and faculty development opportunities to support institutional goals and continuous quality improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Skill Requisites
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required, master’s degree in nursing preferred
