Remote | Must be located in the Southern California area

$64,000–$100,000 + Bonus Opportunities

A growing non-profit is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and entrepreneurial Operations Manager to help expand their reach and strengthen the work they do for the rare disease community.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on role for someone who loves bringing ideas to life, building relationships, solving problems, and making things happen. You'll work closely with leadership, healthcare organizations, sponsors, vendors, and community partners while helping grow into new markets.

What You'll Do

  • Lead events: Plan and execute 5+ evening conferences and educational events each month across multiple states.
  • Own the details: Manage venues, vendors, speakers, catering, AV, registration, materials, timelines, and budgets.
  • Drive growth: Help expand into new geographic markets and develop relationships with healthcare and community organizations.
  • Build partnerships: Serve as a key contact for sponsors, healthcare professionals, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Improve operations: Create systems, processes, and tools that help operate efficiently and scale.
  • Support the mission: Assist with patient assistance initiatives and programs that connect patients and providers with valuable resources.
  • Make things happen: Take ownership of projects, solve problems proactively, and keep priorities moving forward.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and responsibility
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder
  • Comfortable working with healthcare professionals, executives, sponsors, and community partners
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable with evening events and multi-state travel
  • Experienced in operations, project management, events, healthcare, nonprofit, sales, or a related field

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Experience with healthcare, pharmaceutical, nonprofit, or patient advocacy organizations is a plus.

The Details

Location: Primarily remote; Southern California preferred
Schedule: Flexible; evening events are required
Travel: Required for conferences, meetings, and other activities; approved business travel reimbursed
Compensation: $64,000–$100,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus bonus opportunities
