The Outside Sales Representative is the first impression of Newman Tractor to our customers. Responsibilities of this role include developing strong customer relationships that provide an excellent customer experience and continues into the future with service and unmatched support. This role requires a high level of enthusiasm, self-drive, detailed organization skills, and a high level of communication. This Sales position will remotely report into our Apopka, FL branch and serves Sarasota, Manatee, Hardee, and DeSoto counties.
Requirements
Achieve sales unit volume, profit, and market share objectives
Develop business relationships with key influencers and decisions makers
Function as liaison between the customer, Newman Tractor, and/or the supplier to ensure highly valued information is shared between all parties
Assist in development of the annual business plan and complete related objectives and action plans
Create, develop, and close new/used sales and rentals within assigned territory and accounts
Cover assigned territory by traveling to/calling customer locations to conduct sales calls, meetings, equipment inspections, machine start up and installation
Prospect and develop new customers and markets and maintain customer relationships through professional and ethical business conduct
Coordinate and participate in all demonstrations in assigned territory
Assure all equipment deliveries meet the conditions of the sale and take appropriate action to correct any problems
Continually monitor customer satisfaction with the Company and its products
Develop and maintain knowledge on products, applications, industry, selling skills, and product support to enhance and achieve required sales performance
Accurately submit all required deal documentation including, but not limited to, quotations, breakdowns, security and lease agreements, machine activity reports, warranty forms, etc.
Inspect trade-in equipment, assist in establishing fair values and profitability remarket
Submit required reports accurately and on time – includes but not limited to weekly call reports, expense reports, sales forecasts, etc.
Cooperate with all company departments regarding credit, fair trade values, insurance, taxes, and product support to ensure both sales objectives and customer requirements are met
Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude
Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate should reside in Sarasota County for best access to customer base
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
2-4 years of Sales experience is required
Willingness to learn and be trained
Good understanding of machine applications and systems required
Excellent communication and presentations skills needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
Good driving record
Personal vehicle capable of driving onto construction sites (SUV or Truck preferred)
Bilingual a plus
