Paralegal - Personal Injury

Our client is seeking a Paralegal versed in personal injury and medical negligence litigation to support their growing team in Providence, RI.

Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury and medical malpractice litigation files.

• Prepare all legal documents associated with filing Complaints with the Court to settlement of cases.

• Prepare and e-file/file Motions.

• Prepare discovery documents.

• Prepare responses to discovery and meet with clients to complete documentation.

• Scheduling of depositions, arbitration, and mediation.

• Preparation of settlement statements.

• Handling of visual exhibits at trial.

• Prepare draft letters associated with the development of litigation files including dictation and translation from partners and associate attorneys.

Requirements:

• Paralegal Certification/Degree.

• Strong organizational and attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and with a team.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize and handle large volumes of work.

• 5+ years experience in a personal injury firm.

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
