As a Remote Patient Advocate, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping them understand their care options, coordinate services, and resolve questions or concerns.
This role combines customer support, healthcare coordination, and administrative assistance in a fully remote environment.
You will work independently from home while collaborating with healthcare professionals and care teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
Serve as the primary contact for patients via phone and secure messaging
Help patients understand healthcare processes, benefits, and next steps
Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals
Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems
Assist with prior authorizations and prescription requests
Obtain and organize medical records and supporting documentation
Escalate complex concerns to appropriate departments
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of experience in healthcare, call center, customer service, or administrative support preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
Comfortable using computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office
Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
Healthcare certification is a plus but not required. Paid training provided.
