We are building a Competition & Performance Testing Lab to drive company-wide performance benchmarks across our product portfolio. We are seeking a Performance Engineer to design, execute, and analyze performance tests across Virtuozzo’s product portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and execute performance, scalability, and reliability tests for Virtuozzo products.


• Benchmark compute, storage, and network performance against platforms such as Nutanix, VMware vSphere, Red Hat OpenShift, CEPH, and others.


• Evaluate failover, recovery, and operational resilience under real-world fault conditions.


• Build, configure, and maintain test environments to ensure repeatable, consistent evaluations.


• Develop datasets and workloads that accurately represent service provider and enterprise environments.


• Research and implement best practices, methodologies, and tools for performance and load testing.


• Collaborate with development teams to identify bottlenecks and provide data-driven recommendations for optimization.


• Document test methodologies and results in clear, structured reports for internal stakeholders.

What You Bring

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.


• 1+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and benchmarking for infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud solutions.


• Strong technical knowledge of virtualization, storage, and networking.


• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., iperf, fio, sysbench, custom Python/Go tools).


• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible) for test creation and environment configuration.


• An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret results and present clear conclusions.


• Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated performance testing integration.


• Exposure to cloud and hyperconverged platforms in production or testing environments.


• Experience in competitive analysis or QA for infrastructure products.
