Producer

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Producer – Heavy Farming Insurance to support and grow our agricultural client base. This role is ideal for a professional who understands the complexities of heavy farming operations and enjoys building long-term relationships while developing new business.

This position is based in Colusa, CA, with the ability to transition to remote work after successful completion of training.

The Producer is responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring new business and managing customer relationships within the heavy farming sector. This role increases market penetration within an assigned territory while retaining and strengthening existing client relationships—paramount to long-term success.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Growing assigned territories
• Account management
• Ensuring profitability and retention of accounts
• Negotiating and re-negotiating rates as market conditions change

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to adapt to evolving agricultural and insurance market trends are critical to success in this role.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to establish new client agreements through market      demographics and sales contacts
• Develop new prospects through outbound phone calls using company databases, online      resources, and cold calling 
  • Minimum of 30 outbound calls per day
• Negotiate contract terms with prospective and existing clients
• Review and analyze client needs by discussing operational requirements,      exposures, and risk management strategies
• Work proactively with Account Managers to market available solutions to      existing and prospective clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and growth
• Support positive employee and client relations to maintain a collaborative and      professional environment
• Travel within the assigned geographic territory as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience (agricultural or farming preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Property & Casualty License
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• AMS 360 experience a plus
